A Ministry Born from a Journey Beyond This Life

Welcome to AlaskaByte Ministry, a faith-based online community founded by Scott Stansbury.

This ministry was created from a life-changing experience that transformed Scott forever.

Scott was once a successful businessman, professional filmmaker, and photographer who loved capturing the extraordinary beauty of Alaska. After a devastating accident and severe medical complications, he came within moments of losing his life.

During emergency surgery, Scott bled out on the operating table. A death certificate was prepared in his name. In that moment, he experienced what he describes as a journey into the afterlife, where he met Jesus Christ.

He was shown the reality of Heaven, a place of indescribable beauty and peace, and Hell, a place he never wishes to see again.

That encounter changed the course of his life forever.

From Business Owner to Full-Time Ministry

Although Scott survived, the injuries left him permanently disabled. He was forced to close his business because he could no longer work.

Today, he lives solely on Social Security.

Yet Scott does not focus on what he has lost.

Instead, he gives thanks for what God has given him and considers it a privilege to spend the rest of his life sharing the Gospel, encouraging others, and testifying to the power and presence of Jesus Christ.

He believes wholeheartedly that God spared his life for a purpose.

Scott founded AlaskaByte Ministry to:
